Monday after Spark

So Spark was during the weekend, and it was a total blast.

The project ended up not being projected, but it worked really well anyways. The project ended up being a mirror that took the colors from the area around it, then would reproduce the image using triangles and these colors. Every few minutes, it would shift the colors to a different spectrum. Everyone seemed to like it from what we saw.

Post… I forgot to do this sooner

So after the late night class meeting, we came upon a nice conclusion. Our blob drawing tool works nicely with the street lights to paint the local buildings. We’ll probably use some flashlights to interact with the webcam and paint the buildings up all night.

Another Update?

Changed things a bit and are working on another path to get towards a painting type program. It will be using the webcam to get the video, then using processing to redraw the image using letters taken from a string. It uses the colors taken from the video right now, but that will be changed.

Update

Not sure how many of these updates we’re supposed to have so far… but here’s another. We’re working on getting the drawing program working with blob detection. It’ll have random shapes and colors being generated with hand movements (at least that’s what it should be doing soon).

First Post

So this is my first post on this development blog for Special Topics. Today I’ve been looking at my code for my seizure cube and am looking around for different ways that I can use hand movements and gestures in order to move the cube around in 3D and apply different effects to the cube.
